Nebraska Lottery Retailer Application

Legislative Update LB 403(2009)
Beginning October 1, 2009, the Nebraska Lottery will require all new contractors to use the US Citizenship and Immigration Services' E-Verify program to verify the work eligibility status of newly hired employees physically performing services within the State of Nebraska. Information on the E-Verify program can be found at www.uscis.gov.
Applicants who are individuals or sole proprietors will also need to complete and submit an Attestation Form.
These new requirements will only affect those contracts entered into on or after October 1, 2009.

There is no charge to become a Nebraska Lottery retailer.
The Nebraska Lottery network is open to any retail operation, provided it is not licensed for the consumption of alcohol on its premises.
Nebraska Lottery retailers receive a five percent (5%) commission each ticket sold, and can qualify for additional bonuses and incentives. Nebraska Lottery retailers earned more than $7 million during the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2008.

Nebraska Lottery Scratch and Lotto tickets are available through a retailer network of more than 1,250 locations statewide. Nebraska Lottery retailers range from convenience stores to supermarkets and from service stations to cafes. Nebraska Lottery tickets can add excitement, build traffic and strengthen customer loyalty at most any business.
