Nebraska Individiual Income Tax E-file Updates for Tax Year 2012

All software companies are required to use the Tax Calculation Schedule to calculate Nebraska tax. Software companies cannot use the bracket amounts shown on the Nebraska tax table to calculate tax. The Department will verify that you are calculating Nebraska tax using the tax rate schedule during developer testing. This ensures that taxpayers who e-file are consistently given the most accurate tax calculations available, regardless of what software they use. If you have questions, contact Taxpayer Assistance at 800-742-7474 (toll free in Nebraska and Iowa) or 402-471-5729.

Please contact the Department if you have any questions.

  • The Nebraska Sales and Use Tax Return, Form 10, has been redesigned.  Form 10’s Nebraska Schedule III has been replaced by the Optional Worksheet and is available as a web-only document.

All combined filers (taxpayers with multiple locations, filing all locations under one Nebraska ID number) must use the Department’s NebFile for Business program to e-file Form 10.

Please contact the Department if you have any questions.
