You will need to use either Netscape 4.0 (or newer) or Internet Explorer 4.0 (or newer) to use the online system.

When can I file my return?
The system is available for filing beginning the second week of the month following the close of the tax period. You should verify that you are filing for the appropriate tax period on the Web page. The tax period along with the filing mode and Nebraska I.D. Number are indicated at the top of each Web page. If the Web page indicates single filer mode, you will be required to complete Schedules I and III. If it indicates multiple filer mode, you will be required to complete Schedules I, II, and III.
How do I remit payment for the return that I file via the Internet?
The preferred method to pay your liability is via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Indicating that you wish to pay via EFT on the Web page does NOT initiate a payment.
If I discover a mistake in my filing after I have already submitted a schedule or form can I use the Back button on my Web browser to return to the page and correct it?
No. If you make a mistake and submit incorrect information, you should shut down your browser and start over. This may not seem user-friendly, but Web browsers operate in different ways, making it necessary to start the process over.
Do I need to send in a paper return if I file via the Internet?
No. However, we do recommend that you prepare a paper return for verification and entry purposes. The Internet filing system reduces the risk of making common errors and makes a good verification of the paper return.
How do I print out my return that I filed via the Internet?
You should use the Print button on your Web browser to print the pages as you complete them. You may want to print some of the pages horizontally (landscape orientation) to ensure that you see all of the information.
What if I accidentally file multiple returns?
The information on the two returns will be combined, regardless of whether they are paper or electronic returns. If the two returns are identical, your liability will be doubled. This problem can be addressed by calling Taxpayer’s Assistance at 800-742-7474.
Can I file amended returns via the Internet?
No. Only returns for the current period can be filed via the Internet. The tax period, along with the filing mode and Nebraska I.D. Number, are indicated at the top of each Web page.
Will I continue to receive my Form 10 in the mail?
Yes. Your paper return will continue to be mailed to you because it contains your User Name and Password, any outstanding balance, and because you could decide to file a paper return. The paper Form 10 is also useful for record-keeping.
