CHARITABLE GAMING ACTIVITY
APRIL 1 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2007 and FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2007

LINCOLN -- The Nebraska Department of Revenue Charitable Gaming Division reports that total dollars wagered on charitable gaming activities for the period April 1, 2007 through June 30, 2007 were $63,987,312 which is a 4.3 % decrease from the previous quarter. However, this amount was higher than the total amount wagered for the same period in 2006 when $60,629,458 were wagered. Total dollars wagered on charitable gaming activities for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007 were $256,072,431 which is 2.4% more than the previous fiscal year when $250,768,946 were wagered.

Total dollars wagered on county/city lottery (keno) for the quarter were $49,712,631 which is 3.4% less than the previous quarter. However, total dollars wagered on keno for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007 were $196,210,843 which is 5.9% more than the previous fiscal year when $185,340,795 were wagered.

Pickle cards gross proceeds were $10,004,402 for the quarter. This is a 9.6% decrease from the previous quarter and 7.6% less than the same quarter in 2006. Pickle card gross proceeds for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007 were $41,620,943 which represents an overall decrease of 9.4% as compared to the previous fiscal year when pickle card gross proceeds were $45,943,737. The total number of pickle card units sold in fiscal year 2006-07 was 20,666 as compared to 23,152 in 2005-06.

Bingo gross receipts were $2,982,381 for the quarter which is 1.4% more than the previous quarter and 15.1% less than the same quarter in 2006. Bingo gross receipts for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007 were $12,179,641 which is 13.3% less than the previous fiscal year when bingo gross receipts were $14,051,926.

Gross proceeds for lottery/raffle activity were $1,287,898 for the quarter and $6,061,004 for the 2006‑07 fiscal year.
Charitable gaming activities generated taxes, license, and registration fees of $1,403,452 for the quarter. Of that amount, $48,400 were license and registration fees. For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007, total charitable gaming tax receipts were $5,428,148 which is 1.4% more than the previous fiscal year. Total license and registration fees were $266,630 as compared to $366,027 in fiscal year 2005-06. .
