STATE ASSESSED COUNTIES — REVISED POSTCARD
REAL PROPERTY NOTICES OF VALUATION CHANGE

LINCOLN — The Department of Revenue Property Assessment Division would like to advise property owners in the State Assessed Counties of Dakota, Dodge, Garfield, Greeley, Harlan, Hitchcock, Keith, Saunders, and Sherman Counties, that certain property owners will receive a second postcard notice or “revised” postcard for the 2009 Real Property Notice of Valuation Change.

Due to technical issues, the Level of Value stated on some of the postcard notices was inadvertently reversed for Commercial Property and Agricultural Land. On the front of the revised postcard notice, it will clearly state “Revised Notice”. All other information on the postcard notice is accurate. The second revised postcard notices, for those property owners affected, were mailed on June 1, 2009.

If any property owner does not agree with the assessed value reflected on the postcard notice, a protest may be filed with the county board of equalization. The protest of valuation may be filed in person or by mail with the county clerk in the county where the property is located on or before June 30, 2009.

If you have any questions regarding the postcard notice or the revised postcard notice, please contact the State Assessment Office in your county.

Property Tax Administrator
