The following statistics are based on the 2007 Federal Extracts, Federal/State Exchange Program, Individual Master File Extract, and Individual Return Transaction File Extract, Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service.
The selected statistics encompass only returns which had been processed through August 26, 2007 which report a Nebraska mailing address. These are classified by fourteen federal adjusted gross income groups and filing status as (1) single, (2) married, filing joint, (3) head of household, (4) all returns, (5) elderly (all returns), (6) non-farm sole proprietors (all returns), (7) farm sole proprietors (all returns), and (8) returns allocated to respective counties.
Selected statistics are reported by industrial classification for non-farm sole proprietorships and by principal agricultural activity for farm sole proprietorships.
Tables F2 through F7 report some characteristics of returns based on Nebraska Individual Income Tax Returns (Form 1040N and Schedule I) filed between 1/1/07 and 12/21/07 for Tax Year 2006 and the corresponding Schedule I.
Tables G1 and G2 are decile analyses for tax years 1995 through 2006 and use either Federal Adjusted Gross Income or a Nebraska Expanded Income definition as the ranking vector. Table G3 presents some statistics by school districts.
