Revenue Auditor #16-04045; $16.59/hr; Lincoln/Omaha. Multiple positions available. Perform various audit procedures. Plan, coordinate, and conduct less complex audit examinations and function as the team leader for assigned assistant. Conduct special projects or other work as assigned. Job requires travel nationwide (approximately 30 percent overnight).
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in business administration or equivalent with 24 semester or 36 quarter hours of accounting. Preference given to applicants eligible to sit for the CPA exam. Knowledge of: Accounting principles, auditing procedures, and statistical sampling; state and federal tax laws, rules, and regulations; accounting systems and procedures; and computer applications to accounting systems. Ability to: Operate calculators and personal computers (PC and laptop); communicate effectively; exercise good judgment in difficult situations; think logically; develop the skill to independently conduct audits in the field; exhibit teamwork and cooperation in the work environment. Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation required.
