Notification to Permitholders of Changes in Local Option Sales and Use Tax Rates (updated 3/8/2010)

For the quarter beginning July 1, 2010, there are no cities implementing, changing, or terminating a local sales and use tax.

Notification to Permitholders of Changes in Local Option Sales and Use Tax Rates (updated 12/1/2009)

Effective April 1, 2010, the cities of  Cambridge (145-087) and  Plattsmouth (121-394) will each increase its current city sales and use tax rate of 1.0% to 1.5%.

These cities have complied with the notification requirements established under the Local Option Sales and Use Tax Regulations. The Department has sent written acknowledgments to the city clerks acknowledging compliance with these requirements and the effective date of the tax.

Notification to Permitholders of Changes in Local Option Sales and Use Tax Rates (updated 9/3/2009)

Effective January 1, 2010, the cities of  Scribner (185-433) and  Stromsburg (186-467) each implemented a new city sales and use tax of 1.5%.

Also effective January 1, 2010, the village of Gresham (125-214) increased its city sales and use tax rate to 1.5%, and the city of Osceola (131-371) increased its rate to 1.5%.

These cities have complied with the notification requirements established under the Local Option Sales and Use Tax Regulations. The Department has sent written acknowledgments to the city clerks acknowledging compliance with these requirements and the effective date of the tax.
