The Nebraska Department of Revenue is here to help you. Our semi-annual educational seminars are designed to help people understand how sales and use tax works, and how it applies to their businesses. Best of all, they are presented in a plain-and-simple, down-to-earth manner. In addition, we have invited other states' departments of revenue to join us to give you information about the sales and use tax rules and regulations in those states. Joining us are:
| In Sioux City, the Iowa and South Dakota Departments of Revenue; and | |
| In Omaha, the Iowa Department of Revenue. |
Did you know that there is a new program under the Nebraska Advantage Act that provides refundable income tax credits specifically for individuals involved in microenterprises? Information about the Microenterprise Tax Credit program will also be presented.
Each of the sessions presented by the Nebraska Department of Revenue for Sales and Use Tax and Contractors qualifies for 4 hours of CPE credit.
If you sell things or provide certain services --
When you're supposed to collect sales tax;
Who and what is exempt from sales and use tax;

If you are a contractor --
